SISCO’s Warranty Guidance Procedure for SISCO Surgical Instruments.

SISCO offers a two-year warranty against all manufacturing defects for surgical instruments.

Manufacturing Defects Include (excluding Rust)

• Defective raw material
• Breakage due to internal cracks in the material
• Excessive play in the instrument leading to functional failure
• Breakage due to excessive hardness
• Deformation due to insufficient hardness
• Errors in instrument parts (e.g., number of ratchets, teeth)
• Poor or rough surface finish
• Folds or pitting

The Warranty Does Not Cover Defects Due To

• Wear and tear from use
• Sharpening issues
• Misuse or abuse of instruments
• Use by non-professional individuals
• Improper application
• Alteration
• Accidents
• Negligence in use
• Improper humidity and environmental conditions
• Improper stacking and storage
• Improper transportation and handling

Defects of Rust Include

• Manufacturing problems
• Raw material quality
• Improper passivation
• Deep folds or pitting

Rust Warranty Exclusions

• Improper autoclaving
• Improper sterilisation
• Use of salt or chlorinated water
• Improper humidity or storage
• Improper cleaning, including residue of blood clots or stains

Procedures for Claim

• Include the proper code number
• Provide the invoice number and date
• Return the instrument to the place of purchase. If purchased at exhibitions or from the head office, returns can be routed through our offices.
• Submit a brief note on the observed defect

Non-Manufacturing Defects:

Can be repaired at cost, upon customer approval, including

• Resharpening
• Repolishing
• Reconditioning after wear and tear
• Replacement of worn-out parts

Duration of Repair / Replacement

• Free repair or replacement: 60 days from the date of return of instruments
• Chargeable repair: 60 days from the date of approval of the repair cost
